3 Essential Tips for Wearing Contact Lens

essentials tips for wearing contact lens

Wearing glasses on a daily basis can sometimes be very inconvenient and hard to get used to, especially for first time wearers. Some people prefer to wear glasses, but others prefer the much more convenient contact lenses. There are a lot of types of contact lenses; korean contact lenses, toric circle lenses, or prescription contact lenses. These lenses are easily accessible at any circle lens store. But the real question is, how do you wear contact lenses?

For beginners, here are three tips for wearing contact lenses:

1. Relax

Many people are concerned that they will scratch their eyes while putting on their contact lenses, or that the contact lens will become stuck behind their eye. Relax. Applying and removing lenses may make you nervous at first, but there is no need to be afraid of touching your eye as long as your hands are clean. Furthermore, the inside of your eyelids are connected to the back of your eye, preventing your lenses from falling into an abyss.

2. Maintain the cleanliness of your lenses.

Don't skimp on lens cleaning for monthly/2-week products. Your doctor will give you instructions specific to the lens care regimen that has been prescribed for you. If you are instructed to use a multipurpose solution every time you remove your lenses, you should rub and rinse them before placing them in fresh solution. Don't just add to the already-existing solution. When you put your lenses on in the morning, empty the case completely, rinse with fresh solution, and hang it upside down on a paper towel to dry. Every three months, you should replace your lens case.

3. Dispose of contact lenses and packaging properly.

Cosmetic lenses like korean contact lenses or other types of decorative lenses usually only last a short period of time. When you deem your contacts no longer usable or safe for use, properly dispose of them as instructed by their packaging. Normally, contacts usually have a consumption period of up to a week before you dispose of them, but it varies depending on the brand.
